Overview
Offera is a career intelligence tool. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
CV and job description data
Your CV text and job description are sent to an AI model (Claude by Anthropic) for analysis. We do not store your raw CV text on our servers. The text is processed in-memory during the analysis request only and is not logged, retained, or associated with your account.
We encourage you not to include unnecessary personal identifiers in your CV, such as your full home address, national insurance number, or passport details.
Account data
When you create an account, we store your email address via Supabase Auth. This is used to authenticate you and manage your subscription.
Analysis results
Analysis results are returned to your browser and stored temporarily in your browser session storage. They are not persisted on our servers and are cleared when you close your browser tab.
Third-party services
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes CV and job description text to generate analysis. Subject to Anthropic's data processing terms.
- Supabase — authentication and profile storage.
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
- Vercel — hosting and CDN.
Cookies and local storage
Offera uses only strictly necessary cookies and local-storage entries. We do not run analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking trackers.
- Authentication cookies (Supabase) — keep you signed in across page loads.
- Stripe payment cookies — set by Stripe during checkout for fraud prevention; required to process payment.
- UX preferences (browser localStorage) — small flags such as
offera_cookie_consent(records that you saw the banner) andoffera_welcome_dismissed(hides the onboarding banner once you've seen it).
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset UX preferences.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing.
Account deletion is available directly inside the app — go to Account settings and use the “Delete account” option. This permanently removes your account, profile, analyses and builds, and cancels any active subscription. Other requests can be made by contacting us; we will respond within 30 days.
